Dr. Evangelos Bellos

Role in the project: Dr. Evangelos Bellos is responsible for the design and optical analysis of the beam-down solar collector, the thermodynamic cycle analysis, and the system integration.
Brief Biography:
Dr. Evangelos Bellos is an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of West Attica, Greece. He holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering (2012) and a Ph.D. (2016) from the School of Mechanical Engineering in NTUA. He is an Associate Editor in Elsevier Journals “Thermal Science and Engineering Progress” and in “Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments”, while he holds various other editorial positions. He has worked on over 10 EU-funded projects in cooperation with NTUA and CERTH, while he is the Principal Investigator of the “New-Epoch” project in UNIWA. His publication record includes over 260 publications in Journals, over 60 publications in conference proceedings, and he is an author in a few book chapters. He is the author of a Book in Greek entitled “Thermal and thermodynamic analysis of energy systems”. According to the Scopus database, he has collected close to 15000 citations with an h-index of 73. His working field includes the following keywords: Thermodynamics, Power cycles, Heat Pumps, Refrigeration, Solar Energy, Concentrating solar collectors, Optical analysis, Thermal enhancement techniques in solar systems, Energy in Buildings, Polygeneration.
